Sylvia Schüpbach studied law at the University of Bern and was admitted to the bar in 1996. She initially worked in tenancy and labour law, then in criminal law and legislation. She has been working in public health law since 1998, initially as an employee in the legal services of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) and later at the Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products (formerly IOCM, now Swissmedic), and since 2003 as a lawyer and partner at Pharmalex GmbH.

Thanks to her many years of experience, she has an excellent network and good contacts with authorities and other partners in the healthcare sector.

Sylvia Schüpbach is an expert in all areas of life sciences law, particularly the law on therapeutic products. As a lawyer, she represents her clients in proceedings before authorities and courts. She advises, conducts appeal proceedings, prepares expert opinions and negotiates in conflict situations. She also supports associations in political processes.

Another focus of her work is the implementation and support of compliance processes in companies of all sizes.
