Sylvia Schüpbach, Attorney at Law

Sylvia Schüpbach studied law at Berne University and graduated in 1966 as an attorney-at-law. She first worked in tenancy and labour law before moving on to criminal law and legislation. She has been active in public health law since 1998, first as an employee in the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), then in the federal therapeutic products control agency (IKS, or Swissmedic), and has been a Partner and attorney with Pharmalex GmbH since 2003.

With her extensive experience, she is very well networked and has good contacts with the authorities and other partners in the healthcare sector.

Sylvia Schüpbach is an expert in the entire field of life science law, in particular the law on therapeutic products. As a lawyer, she represents her clients in proceedings before authorities and courts. She acts in an advisory capacity, conducts appeal proceedings, writes expert opinions and negotiates in conflict situations. She also supports associations in political processes.

Another mainstay is the implementation and monitoring of compliance processes in companies of all sizes.

She also conducts in-house training and is a speaker for various organizations.
