Nagua Atia, Attorney at Law
Nagua Atia studied law at the University of Bern and graduated in 2017 as Master of Law. In February 2021 she was admitted to the Bar in the Canton of Bern.
During her studies, she represented unaccompanied minor asylum seekers (UMA) in first instance asylum proceedings at the Bern Legal Advice Center for People in Need and assisted Prof. Dr. Cyrill P. Rigamonti at the Institute of Business Law at the University of Bern. After her studies, she completed internships at the Regional Court of Bernese Jura-Seeland and at a medium-sized law firm in the city of Bern. After passing her bar exam, she worked as a lawyer in the legal department of the General Secretariat of the Health, Social and Integration Directorate of the Canton of Bern.
There, her activities focused on accompanying a major legislative project, co-leading the project for the enactment of the related regulation, and providing legal advice to the Office of Health, in particular the Cantonal Medical Service and Cantonal Pharmaceutical Service.
Since May 2023 she works as an Attorney at Pharmalex Ltd.
Nagua Atia is registered with the Bar Registry of the Canton of Bern.
